Communication Tools in the Command Console
PAR, EVAC, Mayday, F2F messages, acknowledgements.
Overview
The C-THRU Command Console enables clear, directed communication with interior crews using predefined tactical messages and acknowledgments.
All communication is logged automatically for playback and after-action review.

2. Sending Messages

Select the target (individual, apparatus, or “All”).

Choose the message type.

Tap Send.

Await visual or audio acknowledgment.
Acknowledgments:

When the firefighter presses the Communication (C) button, the console records an ACK.

All ACKs are time-stamped.
3. Receiving Messages
Incoming messages from Navigators appear as alerts at the top of the console screen:

Red = Mayday

Yellow = EVAC or PAR

Blue = F2F

Green = General or Acknowledged
Tap any alert to view the originating device and live feed.
4. Clearing Messages

Once acknowledged, select the message and tap Clear to remove it from the active list.

All cleared communications remain archived in the Forensics view.
5. Communication Best Practices

Always confirm verbal radio traffic matches digital communication.

Use PAR checks regularly during extended operations.

Log tactical milestones (ventilation, knockdown, rescue complete) immediately.
Safety Reminder
Digital comms should augment, not replace, radio discipline. Maintain redundancy between voice and C-THRU messaging for reliability.
